“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” Psalm 24:1
Roxbury Holiness Camp presents
2023 Young @ Heart Retreat
Earth, Water, Sky
God called us to be stewards of this planet He has given us. We are told over and over in the Old Testament to take care of the animals of the land and sea, that “the land is the Lord’s” we are His tenants, and by our actions we have defiled what God blessed us with. (Jeremiah 2:7)
This year we will not be focused as much on the past at our annual Young @ Heart Retreat as on the present and the future. Being located in South Central Pennsylvania offers us a vast opportunity to experience the trees, flowers, rock formations, lakes, streams, rivers, clouds, and wide open sky that God created. We will head out into that world of nature this year and learn more about how God has given us authority over nature, but with that authority comes responsibility. Join us to hear from Dr. David K. Foster of the Biology and Environmental Science Department of Messiah University about how we all can fulfill this part of God’s call on our lives.

Professor of Biology & Environmental Science
Our look at nature will take us to Rockhill, PA for a trip on the East Broad Top railroad. We will travel for an hour seeing some of the beauty Huntingdon County has to offer on a train that will take us back along a track laid in 1872. This adventure along with our picnic lunch and theme dinner will make for an educational and excellent retreat. Changes in the event date were to accommodate the schedule of the railroad.
We will have a more detailed itinerary in the near future, but we wanted to open up registration for the event. We can take reservations until May 22, 2023. So call a friend and invite them to join you for a few days of getting away and getting back to nature.
Register by clicking here.
We will email you on or around May 22 with additional registration information.
